As the Web and Media constantly input information into our minds at breakneck speed, we are getting more and more isolated and withdrawn.
V. interesting video, shows us the disparity the youth in the west feel with their education system. However in our country.. the lucky few that get to go to school are subjected to more personalized attention IMO. My daughters class has about 20 kids in it…not bad.
very interestig video… well ‘schooling’ i believe is driven by commerce more and more now… in India you have big corporate houses opening up schools, you have foreign universities selling their wares in third world countires…education is big business and sadly often enough the ‘child’ is merely seen as a means to an end. in fact the rise of pre-nursery schools where u hv lil babies only is no joke… its convenient for moms and then its also about keeping up with the joneses… the video reminded me also of that song, another brick in the wall by pink floyd and another thought… the new media is where the marketers should reach for if they are targeting the youth….another thought, text book publishers seem to make a lot of money it seems.
